Moloka'i, Hawai'i
November 3rd - 10th, 2012
This was an educational escape for me. I went to Moloka'i, Hawai'i for a Creative Photography for the Soul Workshop led by Photoshop Hall-of-Famer Jack Davis and Moloka'i residents and National Geographic Photographers Rikki Cooke and Dewitt Jones. Who could ask for better teachers!
We went all over the island mostly on sunrise and sunset shoots, but also a few during the middle of the day. We got to go places that the regular traveler wouldn't have gotten to go. All of that, coupled with the great education, made a wonderful escape.
During this week long escape, I didn't have time to write everyday, so most of this blog is actually written after I got back from the escape. I tried not to put too much of the class information in the blog because I'm sure you're more interested in Moloka'i than my class. Enjoy!
China
May 9th - 26th, 2006
In 2005, my parents started the adoption process to adopt a little boy from China. In 2006, we were finally able to go over to bring him home to his new family.
We went over to China a week before we were supposed to pick Tyler up so we would have a chance to tour and enjoy China. It was a magnificent place. Our tour guide was wonderful and kept us busy the whole week. There were so many neat places to see.
We're planning on going back to China in about 10 years when Tyler is old enough to remember it. I am so looking forward to a return trip!
